could you give me some advice to strengthen my flexibility in my opposite heel stretch
My answer:Do the splits with that leg & have someone stretch you . NEVER push it too far , only do what you can handle . Slowly but surely (:

Heyy!(: So, I'm an eight grader and have done cheer for maybe 3 years? But I never really got very flexible, because I was a spotter and didn't think it was very important. I went to a meeting thing for an all star team I want to try out for, and they said that I'd probably be a flyer, which I was super excited about, but then I remembered that flyers need to be really flexible... Any tips? And any tips on how to perfect my back handspring would be great too!(: Thanks so much!
My answer:Stretch as much as you can , I always stretched while watching tv or doing homework . Just make sure never to over do it . As for the back handspring , I would go to tumbling classes to get those perfected , they know what is best !

I was just wondering if you could give me some advice on cheerleading? I've always wanted to do cheerleading but i was too scared.. but now i think i'm ready. I've been looking at classes & organizations in my area & they're really good but i'm nervous , i'm not the most "fit" girl in the world & i'm sure as hell not flexible! [i'm 15 almost 16 so I think that ship has sailed :$] & I dont want to make a fool out of my self infront of the other girls. But i know I wanna do this! Any suggestions?
My answer:Welll you don’t have to be insanely flexible to be a cheerleader . But some flexibility always helps for jumps & such . Just work on simple stretches everyday . Make sure you have a high stamina . Run LOTS .. or you’ll die going full out in a routine . Also , you better be able to be loud & look like you’re having fun with what you do . It’s a stressful sport , but totally worth it in the end .
